Warehouse Operations Manager

The Warehouse Operations Manager plays a key role in the success of our business. The primary focus is on developing and implementing an effective warehouse plan to ensure that the team is working safely and efficiently together, customer requirements are met, and the desired profit result is achieved.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing daily tasks efficiency, DIFOT, and asset utilization using suitable software to report, coach, investigate, and ultimately improve overall efficiency.
  • Ensuring adherence to agreed customer KPIs.
  • Facilitating the use of preventative maintenance techniques and coordinating forklifts and other equipment within the area of responsibility.
  • Monitoring sales orders and running backorder reports.
  • Responding to sales and customer service requests.
  • Incident management including reporting, investigating, and closing out WHS incidents.
  • Instilling a culture where risks are identified, assessed, and controlled for all activities on site.
  • Communicating training dates to personnel under their supervision.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Familiarity and senior-level ability with OH&S and safe work practices.
  • Experience in a full warehousing operation, including experience using scanners and other logistics technologies.
  • Proven people management capabilities coupled with substantial supervisory experience and superior communication skills.
  • Experience with manufacturing warehouse stocktake processes.
  • Waste, recycling, or packaging industry background.
  • Experience in a large business high-volume fleet and distribution environment.

Qualifications:

Certificate III in Warehousing or other logistics qualifications preferred but not essential.
