About the Position

The Senior Cloud Architect will lead discovery sessions and take accountability for the design and delivery of modern Platform Engineering solutions.

This individual will provide subject-matter expertise in DevOps culture, tooling, delivery methods, and best practices—internally and for clients.

  • Serve as a hands-on technical lead for cross-functional product teams building bespoke cloud solutions.
  • Drive effort estimation and Agile story-pointing aligned with business and user outcomes.
  • Create technical case studies, training materials, and guidance for our teams.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives and events that foster a strong community culture.
  • Champion a culture of learning by presenting at technical conferences and community groups, writing articles, and participating in partner-coordinated workshops.
Key Responsibilities

The Senior Cloud Architect will be responsible for:

  1. Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, including Multi-AZ deployments.
  2. Deep understanding of database migration tools and methodologies (e.g. AWS DMS, Oracle DataPump).
  3. Expertise in Infrastructure, Network, and Security Architecture.
  4. Proficiency in Database Administration.
  5. Familiarity with HA/backup solutions (e.g. Cloud-native tools, DataGuard, DataPump).
  6. Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.
  7. Proficient in IaC (CloudFormation or Terraform) within AWS environments.
  8. Scripting and automation experience (e.g. Bash, Python).
  9. Experience leading large-scale, multi-terabyte database migrations.
  10. Strong technical documentation and writing abilities.
  11. Familiarity with DevOps practices and toolchains.
