**Job Overview:**

The YMCA is seeking a skilled Health and Fitness Assistant to join their team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, maintaining exercise equipment, and assisting members in a safe and tidy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Gymnasium and Group Fitness Hall are maintained in a safe and clean manner.
  • Become familiar with the use of all exercise and testing equipment, including their repair and calibration.
  • Complete daily tasks assigned on the cleaning and maintenance schedule.
  • Provide positive and motivational liaison with all members, ensuring customers have a pleasant experience.
  • Read the reception message book each time you attend for work to stay updated on new developments.
  • Be familiar with operational systems and administrative requirements relating to the health and fitness area.
  • Provide accurate information to customers on Centre activities and services.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in health and fitness.
  • Currently possess, or be willing to obtain, a National Police Check.
