Empowering Individuals: A Rewarding Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strong relationships with our customers, empowering them to achieve their life goals and independence.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Establish Trusting Relationships: Build trust with customers and support their care plans, including setting and working towards individualized goals.
  • Effective Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with customers using an approach that suits each individual's needs.
  • Program Implementation and Review: Implement and review Individual Program Plans, recording progress and adapting plans as necessary.
  • Activity Facilitation: Plan and facilitate engaging program activities and workshops with customers and support staff.
  • Customer Empowerment: Encourage customer participation in decision-making about their program and service.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience Working with Vulnerable Groups: Experience working with people with disabilities and aging customers.
  • Manual Handling: Ability to provide assistance due to mobility deterioration.
  • Challenging Behaviour Management: Experience managing complex health and behavioural concerns.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work varied rosters across 7 days.
