About the Role

The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the Mining team at Evolution Mining's Cowal Gold Operation. This position will be responsible for providing operational support, bringing underground production online, and contributing to the improvement of safety, production, and cost performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to the underground mining team
  • Bring underground production online as per schedule
  • Contribute to the improvement of safety, production, and cost performance
  • Work with team leaders to implement change management
  • Assist with tenders and procurement, and manage internal and external project stakeholders and suppliers
  • Initiate, plan, resource, and project manage all facets of underground mine infrastructure projects
  • Maintain appropriate records to a high level and prepare and distribute reports to stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Meet legislative, regulatory, and company policy requirements while aligning with business objectives
  • Commit to living and supporting the company values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability, and Respect
  • Lead a safety culture of continuous improvement and play an active role in the company's Net Zero 2050 goal

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and Project Management
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Project Engineering position for mining or heavy industry
  • Effective communication across all levels of the business, including operators, technical personnel, and other professionals
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to processes, along with the ability to formulate robust project plans and schedules
  • Positive attitude and collaborative team spirit are key to being successful in this position
  • Proficiency in Deswick or similar project planning software
