About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled National Workforce Manager to lead workforce planning activities and implement an effective Workforce plan for the Firefighting Services portfolio. This role will be responsible for determining the best way to optimize employee productivity, developing and applying complex 24/7 rostering models, and tracking labour time to improve efficiency and forecast staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement workforce planning strategies to meet operational and capability requirements.
  • Manage and maintain accurate workforce data and analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Fire Capability and Fire Station Managers to ensure effective workforce management practices.
  • Develop and implement reporting and financial management processes to provide insights on workforce management impact variables.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace standards, Modern Awards, and Enterprise Agreements.

About You
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or a related field, or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Solid foundation in HR with an emphasis on workforce management and data analytics.
  • Sound knowledge and application of workforce planning and workforce management principles.
  • Experience in a services-based environment.
  • Experience with managing a team and exceptional relationship building skills.
