
Sustainable Agriculture Project Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination:
- Monitor and report project progress related to grant-funded initiatives as per program agreements.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, coordinating with internal teams for successful project completion as per project milestones and program agreement.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across diverse teams working on grant-funded projects.
- Assist with delivery of project milestones where applicable.
- Grant Opportunities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical and financial information for grant applications.
- Ensure adherence to grant criteria, guidelines, and deadlines as per specific program funding.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare detailed progress reports on grant-funded projects.
- Prepare other reports as required about DIT AgTech research and development projects.
- Analyze data for reporting purposes, showcasing achievements and addressing challenges in a clear and concise manner.
- Funding Strategies:
- Identify and research potential funding opportunities both within Australia and globally, considering international markets and emerging trends in agtech and climate tech.
- Assist innovations lead to cultivate and nurture relationships with existing and prospective funding partners, both domestically and internationally.
- Assist innovations lead to collaborate with leadership to develop strategies for diversifying funding sources, supporting the company's international expansion goals.
- Financial Management:
- Work closely with finance team to develop and monitor project budgets for grant-funded activities related to all areas of innovation within the company, including livestock supplementation, emissions reduction, and horticulture.
- Ensure efficient utilization of grant funds in alignment with budgetary guidelines as per funding agreement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g., Agricultural Science, Agribusiness, International Business).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey technical information in clear and compelling manner essential.
- Agricultural or agtech sector experience.
- Strong project management skills, particularly in context of agricultural related projects.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting related to agricultural related projects.
- Experience in international markets and business development highly desirable but not essential.
