Electrical Power Specialist Position

The successful candidate will lead teams in power generation design projects, including Owner's Engineering roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client relationships and mentor young engineers.
  • Contribute to power system studies, balance of plant designs, and engineering design specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers on project reviews and direct activities of other engineering professionals.
  • Develop proposals, fee builds, and work breakdown structure development in response to RFPs.
  • Travel limited to less than 10% for client meetings and vendor engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or related field from an accredited program.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems Engineering desired.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical power generation design.
  • Design experience with simple cycle and combined cycle power generation.
  • Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills; strong leadership with the ability to work independently or as a lead.
  • Extensive knowledge of three-phase electrical power, protection, and control design, system grounding, lighting and grounding design, instrumentation, and life safety systems.
  • Professional Engineers (PE or P.Eng) license required; proficient in Microsoft Office and standard power market sector design software.
