The power generation market continues to grow and evolve given strong capacity demand signals that haven't existed for over a decade.

We are seeking a qualified Senior Mechanical Power Engineer to help our clients develop, contract, and implement natural gas and potentially renewable energy generation projects while serving as Engineer of Record or Owner's Engineer.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will join a highly capable, multi-discipline team supporting power and energy projects primarily within the utility, IPP, industrial, and institutional sectors. Primary duties involve leadership of the project mechanical team, coordination with other engineering disciplines, monitoring, and communication of project status, and providing mechanical engineering support for detailed design and owner's engineer projects on both a technical and contractual level.

Qualifications

Preferred candidates have significant experience in utility-scale power generation systems and equipment, with proven ability to plan, schedule, and lead design projects. Typical deliverables include construction drawings, bid specifications, mechanical equipment sizing calculations, technical memos, bid evaluations, code reviews, feasibility studies, reports, and cost estimates. Experience with the design and specification of power generation systems for simple cycle, combined cycle, distributed generation, and RICE projects is preferred.
