Job Title: Senior Review Expert

The Role:

As a Senior Review Expert, you will manage complex caseloads of files, including psychological and latent onset injuries, premium/policy reviews, work health and safety, electrical safety, and labour hire licensing reviews. Your day involves communicating with parties, reviewing factual and medical evidence, complex review discussions, and drafting detailed review decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Display empathy while objectively communicating, liaising, and negotiating with stakeholders.
  • Accurately record and maintain your files and records.
  • Identify and analyze relevant information through efficient assessment and evaluation of the evidence to reach a determination on the review outcome.
  • Ensure decision-making is logical, impartial, and evidence-based.
  • Write high-quality decisions that are clear and succinct, detailing the evidence considered and explaining the justification for your conclusions.
  • Refer sensitive or high-profile reviews for quality review.
  • Analyze technical, procedural, and scheme-wide issues impacting review and appeal processes and outcomes, providing advice to senior management.
  • Support the leadership team by providing training, coaching, and support to other team members, completing quality reviews, developing internal policies and procedures, and contributing to projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of support and accountability, leading by example to ensure behavior aligns with values, vision, and code of conduct.
