Salary Information:

The estimated salary range for this position is $105,000 - $115,000 per annum, plus superannuation.

This competitive compensation package reflects the importance of the role and the skills required to succeed as a Paediatric Rehabilitation Specialist.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team as a Senior Paediatric Rehab Case Manager.

In this critical role, you will work closely with children, adolescents, families, and treating medical teams to assess and establish rehabilitation needs.

Your expertise will be essential in guiding families through the rehabilitation process, developing personalized plans, and monitoring progress.

As a key contact for all rehabilitation-related matters, you will ensure seamless communication and coordination among stakeholders.

  • You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement rehabilitation plans;
  • Support and empower families to take an active role in their child's rehabilitation journey;
  • Provide high-quality report writing, service requests, and service costing throughout the rehabilitation program;
  • Act as a liaison between families, healthcare providers, and funding sources to ensure efficient and effective care;
  • Ongoing monitoring of progress, reporting, and identification of barriers to recovery;

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Speech Pathology with registration from the Speech Pathology Australia (SPA);
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with a strong background in paediatric rehabilitation;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and families;
  • Understanding of traumatic brain injury and its effects on children and adolescents;
  • Experience working with children and adolescents who have suffered traumatic injuries or complex disabilities;
  • Knowledge of the Compulsory Third Party (CTP) and Lifetime Care and Support scheme;
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with complex negotiation skills;
  • Current unrestricted driver's license;
  • Eligibility to work permanently in Australia;
