**Job Summary:**

The EHS Coordinator is a vital role that plays a key part in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations by developing and implementing policies and programs.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create and Implement Safety Plans: Develop safety plans, train employees on safety procedures, and conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor Compliance: Ensure the organization adheres to relevant regulations and standards, including monitoring chemical usage, hazardous material classification, quantity, and reporting required reviews.
  • Manage Hazardous Materials: Oversee the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Injury Management: Provide employee care and manage clinic visits as needed, ensuring timely reporting of injuries and proper communication with third-party adjustors.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare environmental compliance reports and permits, including OSHA and local agency requirements.
  • Represent the Organization: Represent the organization with regulatory agencies, including city public works, fire departments, state inspectors, and internal inspections.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an EHS role at a high-volume manufacturing facility is required, with relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.

**Physical Demands:**

  • Ability to conduct inspections, carry equipment, and use ladders to elevated work surfaces.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.

**Key Skills:**

  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of industrial hygiene and hazardous material management.
