About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our client, a leading Australian entity in the manufacturing space. Headquartered in the south-eastern suburbs, they pride themselves on their commitment to sustainability and innovation, with a strong focus on maintaining a safe and productive work environment for all staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate training and awareness programs to promote a positive safety culture and ensure employees are equipped to manage risks.
  • Provide expert advice on health and safety issues and best practices to management and employees.
  • Manage the reporting and recording of all health and safety incidents to ensure accurate data and informed decision-making.
  • Work closely with management to drive continuous improvement in safety performance and promote a culture of safety excellence.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk management.
