We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our cleaning team as an Environmental Services Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of efficient and responsive cleaning and housekeeping services across the St. Vincent's Hospital Campus.
Key Responsibilities- Waste Management: Remove general waste, clinical and sharps waste, recyclables, and confidential waste as per waste management policies. Restock bins and sharps containers as necessary.
- Floor Maintenance: Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, polish, buff, and steam clean floors.
- Detail Dusting/Damp Wiping: Dust and wipe all low and high reach areas, including fixtures, fittings, equipment, vents, walls, and sinks.
- Bathroom Maintenance: Clean toilets, hand basins, shower rooms/baths, and facilities.
- General Tidiness: Maintain general tidiness of public and service areas.
- Experience in cleaning, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Experience in floor care maintenance, including steam cleaning, polishing, and buffing (desirable).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Current National Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain.
