Leading the way in innovation and excellence, this key role plays a critical part in driving engineering services that enhance Australia's national security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Engineering Services team comprising system safety engineers, logistics experts, cybersecurity specialists, and configuration management professionals, ensuring seamless task assignment and performance monitoring while supporting professional growth.
  • Provide technical governance and oversight to guarantee activities align with the Engineering Management System, collaborating closely with senior stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on engineering and configuration management metrics to address potential KPI and OPM performance issues before impacting contractual targets.
  • Support senior stakeholders in technical planning proposal reviews, customer engagement, and deputise during their absence as required.

The ideal candidate will possess a University degree in Engineering with significant Electrical Engineering components, accompanied by a minimum of 6 years' relevant experience. They should also hold tertiary qualifications and have demonstrated expertise in decision-making, time management, task prioritisation, and project management. Additionally, experience with Defence engineering and configuration management processes, knowledge of DASR, AAP ANSP.70(A), and ANSP.80(A) regulations, and expertise in obsolescence management and system requirements traceability tools are highly desirable.
