Support Children's Mental Health as an Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in delivering life-changing services to Aboriginal children aged 0-12 and their families.

Your role will be to provide early assessment, therapy, management, and family support to limit the severity and progression of mental health challenges. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support children with suspected or emerging mental illness or behavioural disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing and developing individualized plans to address the unique needs of each child and their family
  • Providing evidence-based therapies and interventions to promote positive mental health outcomes
  • Collaborating with community agencies and other professionals to ensure seamless service delivery and achieve optimal results
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification
  • Eligibility for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients and their families
