
Bushfire Management Specialist

Our organization is seeking an experienced Bushfire Management Specialist to join our team in Launceston. As a key member of our Department, you will be responsible for developing strategies to mitigate the impact of bushfires within Tasmania.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and lead plans at various scales to minimize the effects of bushfires in Tasmania.
- Provide complex operational and technical support to staff and other stakeholders.
- Carry out fire management and suppression activities.
Essential Qualifications:
- A background check clearance for arson, sexual offences, dishonesty, deception, making false declarations, violent crimes, malicious damage and destruction to property, trafficking of narcotic substances, and false alarm raising.
Desirable Requirements:
- A relevant qualification to perform the job requirements.
- A fireground supervision qualification.
- A current driver's license.
