About the Role

In this position, you will report directly to the Managing Director, focusing on refining our sales strategies, discovering new business opportunities, and actively cultivating relationships to drive national results. The National Account Executive is crucial to our client's success. You will be tasked with achieving business goals, developing and executing sales strategies across a national portfolio of both new and existing clients, utilizing your financial and commercial expertise to manage budgets and monitor performance.

You will serve as a trusted Brand Advocate for our customers, partners, retailers, potential clients, and internal teams. Your responsibilities will include understanding and effectively communicating the unique value of our products and business. With a solid grasp of sales methodologies, the ability to derive insights and solve problems, a proactive work ethic, and a natural talent for engaging with diverse stakeholders, you and your team will continue to expand our client's market presence.

  • Drive revenue enhancement within a specified portfolio of existing clients.
  • Manage sales budgets, track targets, and fulfill various reporting obligations (both internal and external).
  • Collaborate with key accounts to maximize value and outcomes from these partnerships.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for year-over-year sales growth.
  • Develop and implement retail activation strategies, including merchandising, best practices, and product combination recommendations.
  • Regularly engage with key accounts and stakeholders to foster relationships, discuss sales tactics, and gain insights into their operations.
  • Provide ongoing updates regarding account performance, sales outcomes, inventory forecasts, project developments, and key deliverables to the Managing Director and internal teams to ensure prioritized collaboration and communication.
  • Analyze competitors and market trends, sharing business insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Educate and train internal staff on our products, processes, sales techniques, and promotional activities.
  • Proactively seek and secure new independent or group accounts while strategically avoiding direct competition with existing locations.
  • Collaborate on staff incentive programs using the allocated annual budget to enhance sales.
  • Contribute to and oversee promotional strategies for your accounts, ensuring impactful initiatives.
  • Prepare and submit monthly sales reports to the Managing Director.

Qualifications for Success

Please note: Regular travel is essential for this role. Frequent interstate travel will be necessary.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and manage commercial agreements, alongside experience in both new and existing account management.
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI, CRM software, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to draft and present sales reports.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for meetings, retailer visits, and industry events (essential - please do not apply if you are unable to travel frequently.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Possession of an Australian Driver's license.
