We are seeking a highly skilled Subcontracts Manager to join our team. As a key member of the Hunter Class Frigates Program, you will be responsible for establishing, placing and managing contracting arrangements with suppliers to deliver cost, schedule, quality and safety requirements.
">- Lead supplier evaluation processes and support sourcing recommendations on behalf of the business.
- Facilitate supplier negotiations and finalize supplier agreements, subcontracts and purchase orders in accordance with set procedures and delegations of authority (DOA).
- Attend commercial subcontract meetings to facilitate agreement of contractual changes while adhering to timeframes, SHE, quality, risk and budget delivery.
- Conduct all subcontract-related matters including progress claims, payment valuations, warranties, notices, variations and contract amendments.
- Monitor and report on subcontractor forecasts of cost and value, including preliminary estimates.
- Lead, manage and develop team members to deliver the required capability to meet business needs.
- Act as the interface between the line of business Commercial Manager and the Head Contract with the customer to ensure alignment and correct flow down and flow up of contract changes.
Requirements: Prior defence experience is considered advantageous. Completion of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) would be beneficial in this position.
