Objective of the Role

To support in developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies, sourcing / negotiations and ensuring supplier and part readiness on time via an effective program management.

**Description**:
Accountabilities
- Identifies key suppliers, maximises overall supplier performance and develops a competent and reliable supplier base.
- Supports in preparing strategic sourcing plans for all new projects / programs in collaboration with various departments within the organization
- Monitor and track supplier and parts readiness in line with the program master schedule. Lead in reviewing the readiness plan and identifying bottlenecks and work with suppliers and internal stake holders to overcome the bottlenecks
- Identifies and leads cost reduction initiatives with suppliers
- Evaluates potential new sources and makes recommendations
- Lead in reviewing the supplier's quotes, analysing and negotiating in line with product targets or should be costs
- Lead in reviewing the drawings and identifying the potential suppliers in line with the master strategic sourcing plan
- Supports in reviewing and managing all Vendor Agreements
- Ensures goods, materials or services purchased meet quality and technical specifications
- Reviews current procurement processes to develop and execute improved strategies
- Procurement for multiple and wide-ranging projects concurrently
- Ensures compliance with relevant policies and procedures
- Actively reducing costs and maximising value of purchasing spend
- Works closely with internal departments to fully understand their requirements, to form strong stakeholder relationships, and to provide strategic procurement support to meet business needs.
- Supports in preparation of the KPIs reports and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify and contribute to continuous quality improvement

**Skills and Experiences**:
Competencies
- Strategic Sourcing: The ability to develop and support executing the sourcing plans to meet business plans.
- Analytical Thinking: The ability to analyze supplier quotations and develop benchmark reports and costing.
- Negotiation: The ability to finalize and negotiate with the suppliers
- Communication: The ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Quality and product development.
- Attention to Detail: The ability to pay close attention to details and ensure that quotes are accurate and complete.
- Time Management: The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and to stay organized and on top of deadlines.
- Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities, and to develop contingency plans as needed.

Experience
- 5+ years in strategic sourcing, with expertise in Category/Supplier Management (experience in Automotive segment is highly advantageous)
- Sound knowledge and understanding of strategic sourcing processes.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take the lead in managing categories and Well-organized with excellent project and time management skills, capable of working under tight deadlines.
