About This Role

As a Security Expert, you will collaborate with the Technology and Cybersecurity Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the cybersecurity function. You will work closely with the technology teams to address security inquiries and collaborate with other security teams on an ad-hoc basis.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Perform proactive monitoring, reactive support, and documentation of security processes to support the technology team and ensure compliance with configuration management standards.
  • Monitor the approach and compliance of security administration processes and security access through assessing metrics and data to identify unauthorized activity and prevent breaches from occurring.
  • Conduct security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis to minimize the risk of security breaches.
  • Analyze security breaches and other security-related incidents to identify root causes and ensure systems changes are identified and assessed while escalating potential breaches to the Group Manager – Technology & Cybersecurity.
  • Maintain and update internal cybersecurity systems, including security platforms, firewalls, and other associated systems, as well as documentation and policies required for compliance.
  • Establish and operate security tools to monitor progress, take corrective action, and produce reports as required by senior management.
  • Provide input into the risk management program to ensure that information technology systems disaster recovery plans include elements linked to cybersecurity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We seek a team member who possesses strong technical skills, good communication skills, organizational and planning skills, able to focus and prioritize work, strong attention to detail, and able to ask for help when unsure how to proceed.

You will be hungry to learn and possess strong communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. In addition, we require:

  • 2-3 years of Information/Cyber Security experience.
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CEH, CISM, CISA, CompTIA Security+.
