Job Title:
Procurement SpecialistWe are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the world of IT Contract Management and procurement.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing both upfront procurement activities for IT contracts below a defined threshold and ongoing monitoring and compliance activities relating to key IT contracts.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring effective and compliant procurement activities that balance Victorian Government Procurement policies and programmatic requirements of ITSS. You will work closely with stakeholders to develop strategic approaches to procurement activities that provide the most effective and efficient approach to the market or Government Purchasing Panels.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Developing and leading the ITSS team to set procurement and contract targets, monitor performance and continually improve to meet business needs.
- Managing a Procurement and Contract Management function in a corporation or government department.
- Providing complex procurement experience with responsibility for delivery of procurement benefits including financial savings.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have demonstrated expertise in building strong and productive working relationships within teams and with clients and internal and external stakeholders. Strong influencing skills at senior levels to influence acceptance of a new way of working are essential.
You will also need to have excellent communication, written and influencing skills, and the ability to adapt these to a diverse range of stakeholders and contexts. Analytical skills to analyse information and present a clear, accurate summary to various audiences are crucial.
