As a key member of our operations team, we are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join us at Carmichael Mine in Central QLD.

Job Description

This role involves assisting the Logistics Coordinator with general store duties, including inspecting and documenting ingoing/outgoing goods, maintaining minimum inventory levels, performing forklift duties, and general administration tasks. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar position and possess sound computer literacy skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and document ingoing/outgoing goods to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain minimum inventory levels for critical spares and consumable materials to prevent stockouts and overstocking
  • Perform general forklift duties such as loading and unloading freight to support smooth logistics operations
  • Assist the CHPP Maintenance and Operations teams with routine tasks as directed to ensure seamless coordination
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a stores person or inventory control position
  • Sound computer literacy – strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently at times
  • Current Forklift License – essential for safe operation
  • Right to Work in Australia – compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Current Australian Drivers License – mandatory for certain tasks
  • Current Standard 11 – desirable but not essential
  • Current Coal Board Medical – highly regarded
