We are driving an exciting transformation to offer a unique environment for more people with disabilities, and become a leader in disability supported employment services.

The organisation is an NDIS Provider supporting over 330 people across two sites. With various businesses, including catering, packaging, assembly, labour, and grounds maintenance, it has been facilitating genuine inclusion for nearly 40 years.

As we grow towards our strategic vision, we seek a skilled Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of employees living with disabilities.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role requiring assistance with developing work-related skills for supported employees (NDIS Participants). The ideal candidate should have experience in supervising, training, and supporting people with disabilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Meeting daily targets and goals for gardening and maintenance.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Improving productivity through initiative and best practices.
  • Maintaining high quality standards and ensuring OH&S compliance.
  • Implementing person-centred approaches for employee development.
  • Reporting any defective work or equipment to management.
  • Conducting daily productivity checks and reporting to management.

Requirements:

  • Supervisory experience in gardening and maintenance environments preferred.
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service Skills.
  • Sympathetic and sensitive to employee requirements.
  • Effective Prioritisation and Organisation Skills.
  • A Certificate IV or above in Disability or Community Service, or relevant education and experience.
