Pastoral Care Specialist - Sydney North West and Hills District

This is a role within the Mission team and provides meaningful pastoral care services to people in our care across Uniting - Sydney - North West and Hills District. This role is focused on using the values of Uniting and principles which are culturally relevant, age appropriate and sensitive to the needs of those receiving our services.

As a Pastoral Care Specialist, your role will:

  • Contribute towards the efficiency and effectiveness of the Pastoral care team
  • Engage in effective and nurturing relationship management
  • Maintain continual professional, personal and spiritual development
  • Maintain effective and appropriate documentation and reporting

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pastoral care services to individuals and groups in our care

• Develop and maintain relationships with community members, stakeholders and partners

• Collaborate with the Pastoral care team to achieve team goals and objectives

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports

Requirements:

• Qualifications in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent

• Relevant pastoral or theological study

• Experience working in a team environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a culturally sensitive and diverse environment
