The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field, and will have a minimum of three years of experience in coordinating and managing installers nationwide within the Australian renewable energy sector or similar trade industries.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to a large project team, including onshore and offshore members, ensuring task delegation, productivity, and collaboration.
  • Manage the overall operations of the team, inclusive of employees and subcontractors, and end-to-end project management of residential solar installations.
  • Plan, organise and direct activities concerned with installations, along with subsequent workforce and resource planning.
  • Use programs and systems to record and report all works on site.
  • Maintain quality control checks and deliver projects safely targeting zero harm.
  • Deal with complaint escalation and ensure all complaints are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Design residential and commercial grid-connected photovoltaic systems, along with batteries on design software tools according to the relevant Australian standards.
  • Prepare training materials and documentation of processes, issues, obstacles, resolutions, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of recent experience in coordinating and managing installers nationwide within the Australian renewable energy sector or similar trade industries.
  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies, energy storage systems, and power electronics.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Proven experience working in the industry at the management level would be advantageous.
  • Strong relationship management skills along with strong negotiation skills with an ability to work closely with trades, suppliers, internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships, influence and achieve best business outcomes.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
