Renewable Energy Financial Director


About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renewable Energy Financial Director to lead our financial operations across large-scale renewable energy projects in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial success of our projects by providing strategic financial insights and guidance.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Leadership: Lead financial control across large-scale renewable energy projects from construction through to operations, ensuring compliance with AASB9, IFRS, and hedge accounting standards.
  • Lender Reporting: Manage lender reporting, debt drawdowns, and equity requirements, collaborating with external advisors on audits, tax, and financial reporting.
  • Revenue Recognition: Oversee revenue recognition, market settlements, and REC invoicing, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Close Processes: Lead month-end and year-end close processes, providing financial insights to support project financing and investment decisions.

Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA): Possess a Chartered Accountant qualification (ACMA, CGMA).
  • Experience: Have significant experience in renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Financial Knowledge: Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial reporting standards and electricity market dynamics.
  • Collaboration Skills: Confidently work with lenders, investors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications: FMVA and/or PMP certification is an advantage.
