As a Trainee in our Local Government department, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in customer service, education, and enforcement while studying a Certificate IV in Government.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Local Laws Officers in investigating breaches of laws and regulations.
  • Assist Road Safety and Parking Officers in enforcing parking regulations.
  • Help Planning Investigations Officers in investigating breaches of planning schemes.
  • Undertake proactive inspections of the municipality to ensure it is clean, safe, and presentable.
  • Respond to requests and complaints from members of the public efficiently.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A valid Victoria Driver's Licence.
  • Residency in Wyndham.
  • A Current Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one upon successful appointment.
  • Ability to pass a police check as part of the recruitment process.
  • Sound computer skills and experience working with MS Office applications.
  • Strong written communication skills and a focus on customer service.
