Job Title: Editor of Reader Letters

We are seeking a skilled and experienced editor to manage and publish letters from our readers.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a vibrant and engaging dialogue within our publication by curating and publishing high-quality letters on a wide range of topics for digital and print platforms.

  • Curate and edit letters from readers, ensuring they meet the required standards for publication.
  • Liaise with lawyers before publication to ensure compliance with media law.
  • Collaborate with producers and illustrators to select and publish letters online and in print.
  • Identify opportunities for news stories and work closely with journalists and editors to bring them to life.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong knowledge of media law including defamation and contempt, as well as a keen eye for detail and balance.

This is a part-time position requiring regular weekend work, but also offering flexibility to work remotely.
