Job Title: Senior Editor

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Editor to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in editorial management and be able to bring best-in-class publishing to market on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactive Project Management: The Senior Editor will oversee the entire editorial process from manuscript to finished copy, ensuring timely delivery and quality output.
  • Creative Development and Editing: This role involves creative development, structural editing, line-editing, and evaluating submissions to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Submission Evaluation: The Senior Editor will assess submissions and make recommendations for publication.
  • Publishing Planning: Prepare acquisition P&Ls and manage metadata for all titles.
  • Liaison and Communication: Collaborate with authors, agents, freelancers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and project progress.

Requirements:

  • A passionate reader with excellent editorial skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication, project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Experience of taking multiple titles through the full editorial process.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
