Job Title:

A senior engineering manager role with responsibility for overseeing the development and delivery of complex engineering programs.

About the Role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team as a System Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and execute comprehensive engineering strategies and associated planning for Maritime projects.
  • Manage and deliver engineering programs for existing and future Maritime projects, ensuring timely execution of engineering strategies.
  • Define the engineering aspects of project work breakdown structures and assign responsibilities accordingly.
  • Prepare estimates for engineering activities and equipment requirements.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate technical risks associated with engineering programs.
  • Maintain project system baselines and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in defence industry or allied industries in Systems Engineering environments.
  • Participation in system requirements elicitation, system design and development activities, and engineering management of multi-discipline teams.
  • Experience in Naval Combat Management Systems or Combat Systems is desirable.
  • Demonstrated awareness and ability to address whole-of-system requirements and design issues, including safety and ILS.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to communicate system engineering processes and system development lifecycles.
  • Ability to lead staff within a team environment and foster cooperation among team members.
