Melbourne, Victoria, Australia beBeeInventoryManagement Full time $125,000 - $135,000

The role of Lead Inventory Financial Analyst is a vital part of supporting the financial reporting process across a dynamic retail environment.

Key responsibilities include managing inventory accounting processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant standards. This involves leading month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.

In addition, this role requires monitoring inventory balances and resolving discrepancies across systems and locations. Financial analysis on inventory movements, cost of goods sold (COGS), and stock variances will also be conducted.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential in maintaining accurate and timely inventory data. The successful candidate will prepare inventory reports and insights for internal stakeholders and external auditors.

This position also supports inventory controls, including stock takes and cycle counts. Furthermore, contributing to budgeting and forecasting of inventory-related costs is an integral part of the role.

To be successful in this position, candidates should have a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and hold a CA or CPA qualification. Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in financial reporting and compliance, is essential.
