About the Role

As a Disability Support Specialist with Upper South West in Bunbury, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities. We are committed to providing personalized and person-centered support, working closely with our customers to help them achieve their goals.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Supporting individuals with daily living skills, such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering, and toileting
  • Assisting with personal care and domestic duties, including medication administration and attending appointments
  • Ensuring positive behavior support plans are followed
  • Completing administrative tasks and mandatory daily reports

We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and has a willingness to learn and grow with our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to build effective working relationships, and have a passion for delivering high-quality service.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid driver's license and willingness to use your private vehicle (with rebates available)
  • Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021) or willingness to work towards the qualification
  • Previous experience or willingness to train in manual handling and medication administration
  • Proven administration and computer literacy skills
  • Availability to work between 15-25 hours per week

We offer a competitive salary package, which includes a base salary of $58,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. You will also have access to training opportunities, salary sacrificing options, and a range of employee benefits.
