Team Leader Job Description

We are seeking a Team Leader to join our team in the Lower Hunter region. As the Team Leader, you will guide and support your team to deliver person-centered support, help clients build confidence and skills, and secure meaningful, sustainable work. You will work closely with employers to strengthen partnerships and promote inclusive hiring practices.

Job Overview

The Team Leader will be responsible for mentoring and supporting a high-performing team under the guidance of the Service Manager, driving results and fostering growth. They will develop their team to deepen understanding of best practice when working with people with disability, injury, or health conditions.

  • Translate program guidelines into high-quality, compliant service delivery that meets quality and performance targets.

  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and lead by example.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g., Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work) and experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions. They must have proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans.

They should also have confidence in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs. Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
