Strategic Procurement Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Strategic Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement activities for major infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with government stakeholders, internal teams, and external vendors to develop and execute procurement strategies that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning activities to identify commercial opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop the procurement and contracting strategy
  • Manage and lead sourcing activities (Pre-Qualifications, EOIs, RFTs) for various packages of works related to the project
  • Develop procurement framework specific for the project (where required)
  • Management reporting on status of procurement activities for internal and external stakeholders
  • Deliver procurement initiatives that deliver quantitative and qualitative benefits
  • Ensure operational compliance to group procurement policy and processes and ensure good governance through understanding and applying legal, OHS, ethical, sustainable, and commercial requirements

Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience within a large corporate environment ideally within Energy, Oil & Gas, Mining or Construction industry
  • Proven track record in successfully negotiating EPC contracts or other complex contracting models
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders
  • Ability to hit the ground running and pick-up activity quickly
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities/workload quickly
  • Enjoy operating in a fast-paced environment
