Financial Control and Compliance Expert

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading strategic financial control, governance, and compliance initiatives in a large and complex organisation. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial control frameworks and fiscal policies, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls.
  • Provide strategic technical financial advice to senior business leaders, influencing policy stances across the sector.
  • Collaborate with assurance functions and broader sector bodies to drive organisational excellence and risk mitigation.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification and professional accounting designation (CA or CPA).
  • Substantial experience managing multi-faceted financial/statutory accounting functions in a large and complex organisation.
  • Significant experience in planning and management of statutory audits.
  • Extensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and NSW Treasury guidance.
