We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our community, inpatient and consultation liaison teams. Our community psychiatric service provides contemporary best practice, evidence-based, family-inclusive services to its clients and their families, utilising a multidisciplinary team framework and an integrated model of care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to the team and work closely with other senior members of the clinical leadership team to plan, deliver and evaluate services and programs to meet the needs of patients and their families.
- Be responsible for mental health services in the designated work area.
- Have the potential to be involved in research and work within a supportive clinical context and environment.
- To be registered as a medical practitioner by the Medical Board of Australia and to be a Fellow of the RANZCP or possess qualifications recognised as equivalent.
- Proven ability to plan, deliver and evaluate services and programs to meet the needs of patients and their families.
- Proven ability to give clinical leadership to staff and to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated clinical competence at a senior level and adequate experience in the field of psychiatry after obtaining postgraduate qualifications.
