The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist to join our R&D team at Vow Group. As a Research Scientist, you will play a key role in advancing our cell biology and cultured meat research, working closely with our team of scientists, engineers, and designers to develop innovative solutions for the food industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments to advance our cell biology and cultured meat research
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive records of experimental methodologies and outcomes using our LIMS software platforms
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to ensure that research is aligned with the broader research direction and mission
  • Contribute to the development of new products and processes, and provide technical expertise to support the commercialization of our technology
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cell biology and cultured meat research, and apply this knowledge to advance our research and development efforts
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with Honours, Bachelor's degree, or Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques
  • ~1 year of relevant hands-on lab experience in the fields of biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, developmental biology, immunology, histology, regenerative medicine, cellular metabolism, physiology, and related areas
  • Proficiency in standard laboratory practices and equipment, including aseptic techniques, cell culture, and general lab skills
  • Foundational understanding of cell biology and metabolism
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced collaborative environment
  • Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, experience in cell-based assays, molecular biology techniques, bioinformatics, data analysis, and other cell biology-associated techniques are ideal but not a must
