The Role of a Transportation Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transportation Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient implementation of daily transportation plans, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

About the Role

As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a crucial role in allocating drivers and subcontractors, supervising fleet requirements, and maintaining close communication with customers. You will also be responsible for reviewing and coordinating next day loads, as well as participating in risk management and audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Allocate and schedule drivers/subcontractors to distribution centres effectively
  • Supervise subcontractors and fleet requirements for timely completion of daily workloads
  • Maintain close communication with customers and update them on seamless execution
  • Ensure accurate KPI reports align with customer expectations
  • Foster cooperative relationships among operational, transport, and administrative staff
