Job Summary

We are seeking a talented CMDB Manager to join our dynamic team and drive the enhancement and maintenance of our ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Implement CMDB Strategies: Design and implement effective strategies for the enhancement and maintenance of the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring it aligns with the organization's business objectives and supports the delivery of high-quality IT services.
  2. Define and Enforce CMDB Policies: Define and enforce CMDB policies, standards, and processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency, and to promote a culture of data governance.
  3. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and establish CMDB configurations that meet business needs, and to ensure seamless integration with other IT systems.
  4. Conduct Regular Audits and Assessments: Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and rectify data discrepancies, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies, and to ensure the CMDB remains accurate and reliable.
  5. Establish and Maintain Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders to promote CMDB best practices, foster a culture of data governance, and ensure the CMDB aligns with business objectives.
  6. Provide Leadership and Guidance: Provide leadership and guidance to CMDB administrators and support staff, and to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to maintain the CMDB.
  7. Stay Informed about Industry Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to CMDB management, and to ensure the CMDB remains up-to-date and effective.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.
  2. Proven Experience in CMDB Management: Proven experience in managing and maintaining the ServiceNow CMDB, preferably within a large enterprise environment, is required.
  3. In-Depth Knowledge of CMDB Concepts: In-depth knowledge of CMDB concepts, principles, and best practices is required.
  4. Strong Understanding of ITIL Framework: A strong understanding of the ITIL framework and its application to CMDB management is required.
  5. Experience with ServiceNow Modules: Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and other relevant ServiceNow modules is required.
  6. Excellent Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required.
  7. Ability to Work Collaboratively: The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is required.
  8. ServiceNow Certifications: ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Implementation Specialist) are preferred.
