Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and team-oriented Workshop Service Technician to join our Bosch Rexroth team in Brisbane, QLD. The successful candidate will be responsible for component and power unit rebuilding, installation, and commissioning of large hydraulic projects.

The Service Technician will report to the Service Supervisor and be expected to perform the following tasks:

  • Installation and commissioning of large hydraulic projects
  • Strip, assess, rebuild, and test Bosch Rexroth components, including hydraulic pumps and motors, hydraulic wheel drives
  • Fault-finding diagnosis and product analysis reporting on workshop-based projects
  • Refurbish hydraulic power units
  • Serve customers' needs by studying system requirements and developing proactive responses to faults, maintenance, or modernization topics
  • Order and gather components, installation, perform tests, identify further repairs
  • Maintain customer confidentiality
  • Prepare service quotations and follow up with customers
  • Upload relevant internal service documentation, including vendor quotations, delivery dockets, service quotations, and service reports
  • Ensure quality control through documentation of tests and installations, including supplying customer documentation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen
  • Mechanical Trade certificate
  • High-level technical knowledge of major hydraulic components
  • Previous experience in hydraulic component repair
  • Able to work unsupervised, committed, and reliable
  • High focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Conversant in Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective communication skills
  • Long-term aspirations
