Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Research Development Manager to drive research impact at a leading university by leading the development of competitive grant applications and providing strategic funding advice.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage research funding schemes to advance success in major national research funding schemes.
  • Lead the development, coordination, and submission of high-quality proposals for industry-focused initiatives.
  • Build and implement pipeline strategies to strengthen grant success.
  • Collaborate with business development to secure industry and commercial research funding.
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate qualifications and extensive experience in grant development and management.
  • Proven success in supporting major competitive funding applications, particularly Category 1 schemes.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian research funding programs and major initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a pipeline of proposals from concept through to submission and establishment.
  • Well-developed networks with funding bodies and research partners across the sector.

Key performance indicators will focus on securing funding and delivering outcomes that align with the organization's goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
