About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Legal to join our team at Greenfields Executive Recruitment & Search. As a key member of our Executive Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in advising on capital transactions and fund structuring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Legal Risk Management: Develop and implement strategies to minimize legal exposure and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Corporate Actions: Handle legal matters related to corporate actions within the group, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
  • Funds Management: Provide guidance on funds management, compliance, and financial product documentation, ensuring that all legal requirements are met.
  • Capital Transactions: Support capital transaction processes, including legal document review and term sheet negotiation, to ensure smooth and successful transactions.
  • Investment Partnerships: Collaborate with the Group's team to establish equitable investment partnerships, ensuring that all legal requirements are met.
  • Compliance: Assist with compliance for financial services, including AFSL, AML/CTF, and privacy regulations, to ensure that the group remains compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Data and Cyber Security: Provide legal advice on data, cyber, and privacy issues, ensuring that the group's data and systems are secure and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct legal due diligence to prioritize critical transactional issues, ensuring that all legal requirements are met.
  • Contract Lifecycle: Manage the contract lifecycle and provide legal assistance for various financial transactions, ensuring that all contracts are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws degree and preferably Bachelor of Commerce, Finance, or Economics.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in financial services law, with expertise in property fund management.
  • Skills: Skilled in overseeing legal processes, term negotiations, and capital raising, with proficiency in financial analysis, control mechanisms, and governance in investment frameworks.
