Job Description:

A visionary leader is sought to spearhead a culture of excellence in teaching and learning within the disciplines of Digital Technologies, Design and Technology, Aviation, and Home Economics.

The successful applicant will lead and manage a dynamic team of educators to deliver a high-quality curriculum that maximizes student achievement. They should possess an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Technologies Curriculum and be able to teach across Years 7 to 12.

Strong understanding of evidence-based best practice in teaching and learning, coupled with exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will work effectively with staff, students, and the wider community to achieve positive outcomes.

This position requires a collaborative leader who can build a cohesive team and drive curriculum development. The successful applicant will ideally have experience in at least one Technologies area (Digital Technologies, Design and Technology, or Home Economics) and have a comprehensive knowledge of the full range of Technologies courses including General, Vocational education and training (VET), and Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).

  • Demonstrated capacity to provide effective leadership in diverse educational settings.
  • High level of interpersonal and public relations skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated professional knowledge and ability to apply it to ensure high levels of educational outcomes for all students.
  • Capacity to manage staff, physical, and financial resources.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful applicant will hold a strong educational background in Teaching and Learning, with expertise in curriculum design and implementation. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

Experience in leading and managing teams, as well as developing and implementing strategic plans, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of educational technologies and their applications in the classroom.
