Community Support Professional

The role of a Community Support Professional is multifaceted and involves working within the community to support the day-to-day needs of individuals with disabilities.

As a Community Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing personal care, meal preparation, domestic assistance, social support, transport, and personal development.

  • Forge strong connections with participants, understanding their needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Empower participants to achieve their aspirations by providing tailored support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personalized support to individuals with disabilities, promoting independence and empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.

Work collaboratively with clients, families, and other professionals to develop and implement effective support plans.

Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, fostering open communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

Experience in community services, disability support, or a related field.

Authorised to work in Victoria and hold a valid Victorian Driver License.

Understanding of the NDIS, disability, and community services sector.

Certificate III Individual Support/Disability or studying towards the qualification.

Minimum 2-year industry experience.

Ability to adapt to change and navigate complex situations.

Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and First Aid/CPR Certificate.
