About the Assistant Principal Role

This exciting opportunity is for a highly skilled and experienced education professional to take on the role of Assistant Principal at Lightning Ridge Central School. Key Responsibilities
  • To provide instructional leadership and support to teachers and other education professionals to improve student outcomes and achieve school goals.
  • To develop and implement effective strategies to promote student engagement and motivation, and to address any barriers to learning.
  • To work collaboratively with the school executive team to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the educational vision and direction of the school.
  • To provide guidance and support to teachers and other education professionals to help them develop their skills and knowledge, and to achieve their career goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Master's degree in Education or a related field, and/or significant experience as an education leader or administrator.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and the wider community.
  • A deep understanding of curriculum and assessment frameworks, and the ability to use data and evidence to inform teaching and learning practices.
