Salary


Our salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.



Job Description



  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' sensory motor, fine and gross motor skills, regulation, and life skills to identify areas of need.
  • Develop and implement personalized occupational therapy programs tailored to individual students' developmental levels and ages.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of occupational therapy services through regular progress monitoring and feedback from teachers, parents, and administration.
  • Collaborate with the Inclusion Team to create and implement Individual Educational Programs (IEPs) that cater to students' unique needs.
  • Provide professional development sessions for staff to enhance their understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Attend regular meetings, including staff, education, and team meetings, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.


Key Responsibilities


As an Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:



  • Student observations in classroom environments and making recommendations for adjustments to educational programs.
  • Designing and implementing occupational therapy programs that promote student growth and development.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of occupational therapy services and providing feedback to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with the Inclusion Team to develop and implement IEPs.
  • Providing professional development sessions for staff.
  • Attending regular meetings and maintaining effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders.


Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience working with children in educational settings is highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
