Bridge Maintenance Professional - Key Role

The Bridge Maintenance Professional will be responsible for managing the identification, investigation, design, planning, procurement and construction management of planned bridge maintenance works.

  • Supervise a team of engineers and oversee the outline and detailed design of bridge maintenance schemes
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards or manage the submission of deviations from standard when applicable
  • Produce tender documents and pre-construction information packages
  • Manage the internal financial performance of individual schemes
  • Liaise with clients and auditors to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Relevant experience in the design and maintenance of highway bridge structures
  • Professional qualifications and membership of an appropriate professional body (e.g. IEng / CEng)
  • Full approved driving licence
  • Skilled in project management and team leadership
