Network Infrastructure Bridge Leader

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead our Network Bridges Team in Perth. The successful candidate will oversee the identification, investigation, design, planning, procurement, and construction management of bridge maintenance works on the network.
">- Lead a small team of engineers and manage internal and sub-contractors' resources to meet contract requirements.
- Oversee the outline and detailed design of bridge maintenance schemes, including technical approval and design certification.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards or manage the submission of departures from standard when applicable.
- Produce tender documents and pre-construction information packages.
- Evaluate tenders and assist with contract award.
- Manage the internal financial performance of individual schemes.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures that form part of our integrated management systems.
- Coordinate risk assessments and ensure robust procedures are in place before works, operations, or inspections take place.
- Liaise with clients and auditors.
- Ensure adequate environmental screening is undertaken and appropriate mitigation measures are implemented prior to work commencing.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Relevant experience in highway bridge structure design and maintenance.
- Professional qualifications and membership of an appropriate professional body (IEng / CEng and MICE, MIStructE, IHE etc).
- A full approved UK driving licence.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
