We are seeking skilled laborers to work in a market-leading aluminum extrusion business.

\

This is a great opportunity for individuals who are looking for a challenging and rewarding role. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely handling, storing, and moving dies used in the extrusion process.

\

The duties of this role include:

\
  • Maintaining and setting dies, including removing them from presses and preparing them for cleaning, inspection, and corrections.\
  • Operating electric pallet jacks, cranes, and hoists to load dies from loader tables to cradles for die ovens.\
  • Completing QA checks for caustic acid baths and tanks.\
  • Working in a team environment with good communication and time management skills.

Roster and Pay

\

The roster for this role includes day shifts from 5am-5pm and night shifts from 5pm-5am. A loading rate applies for night shifts worked, and penalty rates apply for shifts over 10 hours.

\

The pay for this role includes competitive casual hourly rates of $30.50 (day shift) and $35.08 (night shift), plus overtime opportunities.

\

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous labouring experience.\
  • A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle.\
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.\
  • A willingness to follow instructions and commitment to working safely.\
  • Physical fitness to undertake manual handling tasks.\
  • Ability to wear appropriate work wear including steel cap boots, long pants and yellow hi-vis shirts.
